Judgment That Leads To Cleansing

“If you destroy the foundations of anything, the structure will collapse. If you want to destroy any building, you are guaranteed early success if you destroy the foundations.” ― Ken Ham

Listen and pay close attention, do not be haughty and overconfident, For the Lord has spoken [says Jeremiah]. Give glory to the Lord your God, before He brings darkness and before your feet stumble on the dark and shadowy mountains, and while you are longing for light He turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it into thick darkness. But if you will not listen and obey, my soul will weep in secret for your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly and flow with tears, because the Lord’s flock has been taken captive. (Jeremiah 13:15-17)

When a man leaves the God that made him head over his subordinate to go and serve the god of his subordinate; he will surely end up being a subordinate to his subordinate. When a nation deviates from the fundamental tenets of what has brought it any degree of greatness in the first place and decide to embark on a journey based on false foundation, a journey that only attracts the wrath of God: The process by which God restores such a nation often starts with the Judgment of that which has been perceived to be true and a product of the false foundation, after which He then cleanses the people and prospers them again. But this has not been the case for some nations in history who have been made to go into the oblivion and there is no trace of them today.

For the Lord of hosts has said, “Cut down her trees And build a siege [mound] against Jerusalem. (like any other city in our 21st century world) This is the city which must be punished. There is nothing but oppression inside her [walls]. (Jeremiah 6:6 emphasis added)

Corvid 19 (whatever its source) has shown us all how (apart from God) everything man is counting on can be broken down; expectations shattered, dreams disappointed; a situation that has brought us all to the point where we have began to look at ourselves anew, to see how much we had been contributing to the problem, the point where cleansing comes in: BUT WE MUST COME TO THAT POINT WHERE WE, DEEP DOWN IN OUR HEARTS REALISE THAT Judgment IS NECESSARY FOR CLEASING. That way we are EMPOWERED to avoid a repeat.

This step of Judgment in the restoration process is what we can call GOD’S RESET IT IS WISDOM TO SEE IT AS INTENDED “RESET” AND NOT ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO PERPETUATE MORE WICKEDNESS

Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord; she drew not near to her God. Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow. Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law. The just Lord is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame. (Zephaniah 3:1-5)

Our Freedom From Sin Section B – The Blood and The Cross.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (Romans 1:4)

In the first section we saw that our salvation and sanctification are from the gift of Christ and all gifts of Christ are communicated to us and given to us by the Spirit of Christ – The Holy Spirit.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HEART OF MANKIND BASED ON THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS AT CALVARY & ITS BENEFITS FOR MANKIND

Part of the outworking of our regeneration by God through the acts of the Holy Spirit is our salvation and sanctification.

Regeneration means to be renewed, reformed, or reconstituted; to have a spiritual rebirth (be spiritually reborn) “Born Again”; to cause to be completely reformed or improved and to grow anew (a part to replace one hurt or lost).

Two Major Aspects of Our Redemption

Firstly, the forgiveness of our sins

The aspect of the work of our Lord Jesus which is represented by ‘the Blood’ shed for our justification through “the remission of sins”.

And secondly our deliverance from Sin

The aspect of His work represented by ‘the Cross’: That is to say, by our union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. We have been “crucified” with Christ.

THE BLOOD DEALS WITH WHAT WE HAVE DONE AS IT DISPOSES OF OUR SINS while THE CROSS DEALS WITH WHAT WE ARE, AS IT STRIKES AT THE ROOT OF OUR CAPACITY FOR SIN

Please watch the video and pray through the the designated bits.

May the grace of God continue to uphold us all – Amen

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (Romans 1:4)

Our salvation and Sanctification are from the gift of Christ and all gifts of Christ Jesus are communicated to us and given to us by the Spirit of Christ – The Holy Spirit.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HEART OF MANKIND BASED ON THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS AT CALVARY & ITS BENEFITS FOR MANKIND

Part of the outworking of our regeneration by God through the acts of the Holy Spirit is our sanctification.

Regeneration means to be renewed, reformed, or reconstituted; to have a spiritual rebirth (be spiritually reborn) “Born Again”; to cause to be completely reformed or improved and to grow anew (a part to replace one hurt or lost).

Sanctification as had been set in motion from the foundation of the earth and FINISHED by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the Cross at Calvary, spans the entirety of our being: from the moment of our spiritual birth to the point of our entry into glory.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (Hebrews 10:10-14).

At rebirth, Positional Sanctification is automatically made available to us (through an entirely work of God) as a result of justification; as a believer (at salvation) we are justified and declared righteous in conformity to the image of Jesus Christ.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (Romans 10:4).

Then when ‘the rubber hits the road’, we discover that we have to deal with the negative pull from the corrupt world we live in; a world that is well set up to pull us back into its sinful fold – here is where the experiential phase of our sanctification plays out.

Experiential sanctification is the process by which the Holy Spirit works in us (believer) to set us apart from sin; it is a progressive work aimed at spiritual maturity, a progressive work of separating us from the world. Quite opposite to what obtains in the world where maturity means independence from anyone; but spiritual maturity means TOTAL DEPENDENCE ON GOD.

May the Lord Help us all
